Took them to the park today and discovered electronic cars. Emily kept up a constant chattering and Sammi was banging the wheel in frustration. It was probably one of the funniest moments I've had with them so far! Talk about an old married couple!

Feeding Frenzy
The twins are getting very good at feeding themselves, anything that they can stuff in their mouth by the fistful goes down well.
The problems started when I tried to introduce plates rather than just filling up their highchair trays with little tidbits.
Just see how the chaos unfolds...!
Sammi wanted Emily's spoon and when she wouldn't give it up, he grabbed her plate and emptied the contents over her head!
Brotherly love?
Poor Emily gets terrorised daily by Sammi - he pulls her hair, slaps her face and grabs at her clothes constantly.
So to actually find them sitting playing with bricks and quietly watching tv was a rare moment indeed!
We also have some more teeth - Emily now has a total of 4 and Sammi follows closly behind with only 2 bottom ones.
New toys
Simple things...!
Sammi is at his happiest sitting in a plastic box eating toast!
And Emily has rather taken to her new trike...
Emily's turn
Daddy has already started her self-defence training (even down to the facial expressions)! She uses this move frequently to ward off Sammi.
And she sooooo loves her food (just like mummy!) What a healthy appetite, just try taking the spoon off her and you'll see what I mean!
Just Sammi
He is IMPOSSIBLE!!!
Here he is gazing at his reflection...a popular pastime!

And here he's playing peekaboo. He can sit still for quite a while under a blanket pretending to hide and waiting for someone to say 'Where's Sammi?'!!
New Year Update
Phew! 10 months old and they dont sit still for 5 SECONDS!!!!
Sammi is getting really good at crawling, cruising round the furniture, chasing cats and wrestling Emily.
Emily is taking a slightly more laid back approach and has perfected the 'bum shuffle'! She's not crawling yet but seems to get across the room on her backside.
They both try and stand up at every opportunity, especially when they're in their cots or playpen - they hang on to the bars, giggling and making a kind of 'ahem', throat-clearing noise to get my attention!
Other news, Sammi has just grown a tooth - one solitary tooth! Emily has her bottom two, no more as yet. They can clap their hands, wave hello and goodbye and play peekaboo, as well as recognising a few words - their favourite being 'pussy cats'! When you say that they go all giggly and stupid and look around for the poor tormented creatures!
That's all for the time being...
Play parks
Just dont know where the time goes, it's been a whole month since I last posted anything? (Sounds like confession!)
Well, babies are doing really well, growing bigger by the minute and charming the pants off everyone they meet.
Mummy's getting a bit frazzled but I've since joined a Mother and Baby group at long last and met other similarly frazzled women...all is not lost!
Emily now has two (very sharp) teeth and gnaws her way through everything, even her bottles have bite marks on them, and biting Sammi's ears is now a favourite pastime. Luckily he doesn't seem too bothered - just slaps her round the head at every given opportunity.
Here they are on the swings and at the indoor play area.
Little tearaways
Sammi wont sit still for 5 minutes and he's actually had his first little bump. Climbed out of his car seat and fell onto the marble floor! Think I was more shocked than him, he was fine, not even an egg-head the next day.
So now we've graduated to highchairs where they can be strapped in tight! Feeding time has become a really messy affair and Emily watches the spoon like a hawk (one for me, one for Sammi and sometimes one for mummy if it's particularly yummy!). If I mistakenly give Sammi 2 mouthfulls she yells at me and grabs the spoon out of my hand!
Indian summer
Just when I thought it was safe to pack away the summer clothes again for another year, the temperatures hit 32 degrees this week, so the twins and I spent a few days at the beach.
Both of them absolutely love being in the water - Sammi wades through the water with the aid of his rubber ring, splashing anything that comes near him, and Emily is far more refined and lazes quite happily while being dragged along in an inflatable boat! (If I could only train Sammi to drag her for me, I could sunbathe in peace!)
